GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 515002
Correct Name property in bluetooth-properties.desktop file
Last modified: 2008-02-28 00:07:00 UTC
The bluetooth-properties.desktop file reads: Name=Bluetooth Preferences Since this item is displayed in the Preferences menu, the term "Preferences" is redundant and disturbing for the user: this is unneeded information that bloats the menu. Attached is a simple patch to fix that. BTW, the Description property is very poor too, it adds no information to the Name: Comment=Configure Bluetooth settings It could be nice to improve it, for example telling Comment=Configure Bluetooth wireless transmission protocol or something like that. Thanks for your work, it would be nice if all tools in Preferences corrected their behavior (few applications haven't done so)
