Description Milan Bouchet-Valat 2008-02-03 22:14:44 UTC
In seahorse pgp-preferences.desktop, you can see this line:
"Name=Encryption Preferences"

This is redundant since the entry will always appear in GNOME's System -> Preferences menu. Seahorse is not integrating well with the rest of the desktop.

In the System -> Preferences and System -> Administration menus, there's no need to repeat terms as 'options', 'preferences', 'manager', etc. for each config tool. For consistency with most GNOME tools, we should only use as label the part of the system/desktop that the tool will deal with. This way, we can explain better what the tools do.

Examples of right labels: "Appearance" - "Screensaver" - "Shared Folders" - "Software Sources"

Therefore, I propose to change this to:
"Name=Encryption" or anything more elaborate (since you gain some space)

Other information:
By the way, the Comment line is
"Comment[en]=Configure key servers and other encryption settings"

Which is not precise nor true, because the tool is not primarily used for server settings.

I'd rather say:
"Comment[en]=Configure how your personal encryption keys and keyring are managed."
Or something like that (I agree this is difficult ;-) ).

Cheers
