-> GStreamer This seems to be a crash in GStreamer, not the applet itself, moving to the right component.
This looks much like #513018. Could you try rebuilding the gstreamer alsa plugin against gst-plugins-base >= 0.10.17? IIRC Gentoo had both in different packages.
