Description Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2008-01-23 10:29:34 UTC
Hi,
the xingheader plugin should be moved to gst-plugins-ugly for the next release.

I'd propose to move the contained xingmux element into the mpegaudioparse plugin or move everything from mpegaudioparse and xingmux into one single plugin (any suggestions for names?). It doesn't make sense to have such small element in a separate shared library.

xingheader has complete documentation and a unit test in tests/check/elements/xingmux. IMHO nothing is missing for a move.

Bye

docs look good, tests look good, code looks fine.

+1 for move

I agree with the idea of grouping it with mp3parse, despite the weirdness of it being in a plugin named 'mpegaudioparse'. We can at least fix the plugin description, and leave the name alone. Even though I don't really know how anyone could 'rely' on the plugin name as a piece of ABI, let's not change it.

Fixed in CVS - element is now part of the mpegaudioparse plugin in -ugly.
