GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 511231
QIF Import: Use QIF security type to provide better default namespace
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:00:06 UTC
Each security definition in a QIF file may provide a security type on a "T" line. For example: !Type:Security NSouthwest Airlines TStock !Type:Security NVanguard 500 Index TMutual Fund This information could be used to provide a better default namespace in the commodity section of the druid. In the examples above, the importer should recognize that one is a stock (default namespace NYSE, say) and the other is a mutual fund (default namespace FUND).
Fix committed as r17090. Requesting backport for 2.2.
Applied to branches/2.2 as r17114 for GnuCash 2.2.5. Thanks a lot!
