While.xls is recognized as a spreadsheet by the file loading dialog,
I must select "show all files" to see a .XLS file.

Other information:
Microsoft Excel is not case sensitive in this way.

Oh yes, I'm using KDE on SUSE 10.3.  That might matter, since it's a file dialog issue.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
