Description Thilo 2008-01-14 14:41:04 UTC
I think that the file that can e found in /usr/share/xsessions contains information about a gnome session even though its doesnt provide then "gnome-session" executable, which is provided by the gnome-session module. So I suggest that this file is not part of GDM. GDM can be used without GNOME. So providing this login info does not make much sense, unless gnome-session would be a dependency of GDM.

I believe there is currently an effort to move the GDM desktop file from GDM to gnome-session. This should probably be a GDM 2.21 bug, not 2.20.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
