Description Josselin Mouette 2008-01-11 14:44:06 UTC
[ forwarded from http://bugs.debian.org/456157 by Josh Triplett ]

If I choose "Stretch Icon" for an icon, grab one of the handles other
than the lower-right handle, and stretch the icon past a certain
point, the icon stops growing, and instead starts moving in strange
directions. The icon should either stop growing and stay put, or
continue growing arbitrarily large.

[ Additional comments ]

The behavior is correct for SVG icons, but not for PNG ones. In fact, resizing in some directions doesn’t work at all, while in others it moves while growing.

Still here in 2.24.2.
Comment 2 Marcus Carlson 2010-07-31 22:07:58 UTC
This is only valid for all corners except for the lower right.
Comment 3 Marcus Carlson 2010-08-01 11:01:43 UTC
I guess we have to use different reference points depending of the corner you drag (the opposite corner should be a good reference point).

Starting with version 3.28, nautilus will not handle the "files on desktop background" feature. For better alternatives, read this blog post https://csorianognome.wordpress.com/2017/12/21/nautilus-desktop-plans/
