Description Avelino Rego 2007-12-20 02:25:47 UTC
If it miss one part, of n parts from a multi part rar file, file-roller, when extracting, will prompt for password for the file, instead prompt for the location of the missing part.

I would love to see that bug fixed! Here is a link to a bugreport at Launchpad:

This is partially fixed in the current development version. I couldn't find a way to specify volume location to the rar utility, so at the moment it just shows an error dialog with a message informing the user about what volume is missing.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use file-roller and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/file-roller/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (volunteer workforce and time is limited).
