GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 504244
Hebrew text cropped in keyring dialog
Last modified: 2009-08-12 21:23:55 UTC
This report has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/174412 "I'm using a Hebrew system and I have a resolution of 120 dpi. The text in the keyring dialog asking for a password is cropped" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10764631/screenshot.png "You can try to run the program with LANGUAGE=he_IL.UTF-8. It may even show the bug without the Hebrew translation installed, because the problem is with right-to-left ordering." Thanks,
Hmmm, for me the dialog does not seem to change to right-to-left ordering with just this environment variable: LANGUAGE=he_IL.UTF-8 Do you have more information on how to duplicate the problem?
Probably running the session in Hebrew, that's the way i replicated the issue. thanks you.
So, any news here?
I've tried and cannot duplicate the problem. However, there have been multiple fixes in 2.25.x which sync environment variables between the user's session and the gnome-keyring-daemon. It's very likely that this has been fixed by this. Could you check whether 2.25.92 still has the problem?

Downstream response: It's fixed now :) " I checked, and it is now fixed! See the attached screenshot. I use ubuntu 9.04 - gtk 2.16.1, gnome-keyring 2.26.1 Thanks! " Screenshot: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30246405/screenshot.png
