Description José Ignacio Villar 2007-12-11 19:45:47 UTC
Please describe the problem:
cpu usage reachs 100% when opening the document. Some minutes after the document is rendered, cpu usage goes down.

If you scroll it cpu usage reachs 100% again for a long time until it goes down.

Adobe acrobat doesn't seem to have any problem handling this file.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the pdf document at: http://www.imse.cnm.es/~barriga/ldh/03-simulacion.zip
2. Wait
3. Scroll
4. Wait
...

Actual results:
100% cpu usage for a long time.

Expected results:
nothing noticiable should be perceived.

Does this happen every time?
yes.

It's a bug in poppler. I've just forwarded it to the freedesktop bugzilla:

Thank you very much for reporting.
