Please describe the problem:
This bug has been reported in Ubuntu as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/174315 :

"Screensaver (blank screen) activates when playing visualizations fullscreen in rhythmbox.

Scenario: Matt is having a party. Matt puts vis on fullscreen. Monitor turns black. Matt is upset."
