GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 499714
configure exits with gtk version <= 2.14 version
Last modified: 2007-11-30 13:23:32 UTC
Trying to install gtkmm results in the the configure script exiting with a message gtk version required <- 2.14. Actual version is 2.12.0. As far as I know there is not gtk+ 2.14. I have tried editing the gtk-minimal version to 2.12.0 in the config.in file but this has no effect. Regards David Hyde
No, it doesn't. It might complain about glib 2.14, but not gtk+ 2.14. Please reopen this bug with the actual text of this error if you are sure about this, and tell us what version of gtkmm you are trying to build.
Thank you. I am trying to install gtkmm-2.12.2 Here is the actual print-out. checking for ATKMM... yes checking for PANGOMM... yes checking for GDKMM... configure: error: Package requirements (glibmm-2.4 >= 2.14.1 cairomm-1.0 >= 1.1.12 gtk+-2.0 >= 2.12.0) were not met: Requested 'gtk+-2.0 >= 2.12.0' but version of GTK+ is 2.10.14 Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Regards David Hyde
So, it's clearly no asking for "2.14" of anything. Please install GTK+ 2.12 as requested. It exists.
