Description Yannick 2007-11-24 14:18:32 UTC
Hi,

The linux version has support for hyperlink in webpages through gconf if I understood correctly. Thus I could implement a web button for Ekiga. The windows version lacks this support and web button dont work under windows.

Here is microsoft basic document on how to achieve the same result using a browser on that platform:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa767914.aspx

Please add this support for the windows version of Ekiga. This will allow more web integration for Ekiga (blogs, forums, etc.).

Regards,
Yannick

Hmmm... ekiga should already have a '-c' switch to trigger a call, so it should only be a packaging issue, and not a programming issue.

Ekiga is not under active development anymore:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/-/issues/273

Ekiga saw its last release 7 years ago. The last code commits were 4 years ago.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (and transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the responsibility for active Ekiga development again in the future.
