Description Köket 2007-11-22 21:54:17 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Well this is what I get when I try to use gst-inspect.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install latest gstreamer from your rpm repo
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/pkg/fedora/5/0.10/ppc/gst/gstreamer-0.10.12-0.gst.1.5.ppc.rpm
2. Try gst-inspect

Actual results:
I get the following error message:
Error initializing: Error re-scanning registry , child terminated by signal

Expected results:
Some information about my installation of GStreamer

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I am using yellow dog linux 5.0.2 on a G3 ppc.
Installed Gstreamer rpms by following the guide on the project homepage.
http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/download/fedora5.html

Added the repositories as suggested and then upgraded gstreamer by
yum upgrade
This installed gstreamer. gstreamer-base and gstreamer bad plugins and some dependencies. I then manually installed the ugly plugin.

Sorry, I meant yum update.

Probably a dup of https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10247

I really need to push out a new liboil version.

Assuming liboil bug for now. Please re-open if this is not the case, thanks!
