Description chantra 2007-11-18 17:11:42 UTC
Please describe the problem:
After using evolution for some times, my exchange account does not work properly.
Some folders do not display any messages while they do have messages in, other folders work fine.
Symptoms:

1) Right clicking the folder -> refresh do not change anything
2) Going to Folders->Subscription, selecting the exchange account and hitting refresh do not show any folders
3) right clicking the folder->Properties reads:
0 unread
0 total
size seems is correct
4) Folder size does not seem to be an issue as some small folder do have the symptoms while other bigger folder to display messages
5) find /home/user/.evolution/mail/exchange/ -name '*cmeta*' -exec rm '{}' \;
 did not resolve the issue
6) folder with symptoms show nothing in .evolution/mail/exchange/<account>/personal/subfolders/Inbox/summary (except some binary data, but no actual headers)
7) removing summary file from those folders fix the issue

Steps to reproduce:
unfortunately, I don't know how to reproduce it

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
once the folder is corrupted, refreshing ... won't have any effects

evolution-help-2.12.1-3.fc8
evolution-2.12.1-3.fc8
evolution-webcal-2.12.0-1.fc8

I'm also seeing this. I just upgraded from Fedora 6 to Fedora 8, and many of my folders simply show no messages now. If I use a different interface to exchange, I can rename the bad folders, then they work just fine within evolution.

Hello,

I guess this http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353715#c7 might fix those issues. Marking as NeedInfo.
Comment 8 Kandepu Prasad 2008-04-24 18:16:45 UTC
Reducing the severity as per the information provided in Comment#7. Can you please verify and let us know if you still face the issue. Thanks.
Comment 9 Christopher Stokes 2008-04-25 15:45:51 UTC
I am seeing this as well.

chris@chris-desktop:~$ uname -a
Linux chris-desktop 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
chris@chris-desktop:~$ evolution --version

Summary Stuff has greatly been rewritten since. Thus I am marking this as obsolete.
Can you try with a current stable and report back?
