Description Frans van Berckel 2007-11-18 09:42:09 UTC
The Campcaster project is a broadcast play-out system for radio stations by Campware. It's based on Gstreamer and is looking for handling of SMIL-audio files. Support of SMIL-video files in Gnonlin is a bridge to far, there's a lot of other stuff to be handled. So we calling a SMIL subset idea supported by Campcaster as usecase.

Maybe the Jokosher team is interested as well, because the non-linear editor is processing audio only as well.

Even in my wildest dreams... I don't think gnonlin is the right place for such elements.

gnonlin should be considered very-low-level elements on the same level as gstreamer core/-base.

This would be better in a helper library.
