GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 492218
duplicate entries when using location filed
Last modified: 2008-03-06 19:47:14 UTC
[ forwarded from http://bugs.debian.org/448058 by Emil Novak ] If you open some location by entering path to Location entry then every file and directory is displayed twice. You can try this in gimp or firefox. Use Ctrl+L to show/hide location entry. When you open directory by clicking on directory names everything works fine. ---- This bug only happens when using the gtk+ backend, not the gnome-vfs backend. I can also reproduce it by double-clicking on the current folder button in the button bar, or by quad-clicking on a shortcut.
Josselin: does the part under "----" indicate that you've reproduced the bug under these conditions, or is it additional text from the original reporter?
The last lines are from me, I can reproduce this bug perfectly.
Thanks ... just wanted to clarify that, so that if anybody was considering working on this bug, they'd know that had been reproduced on multiple systems.
josselin, where do you see duplicates? if it's inside the completion list, does the patch attached to bug 368931 solve the issue?
Nope, it is in the file list. The original report has a screenshot: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=filechooser+-+duplicate+entries.png;att=1;bug=448058
