Description Pedro Villavicencio 2007-10-19 18:11:23 UTC
This report has been filled here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-tools/+bug/153766

"When looking at the advanced tab of the users-admin application in the "Shell:" drop down box '/usr/bin/screen' is listed as a shell even if screen is not installed. In the event that screen is installed gnome-terminal quits right away however you can log into a vty. I noticed this using gnome-system-tools version 2.20.0-0ubuntu1 on Gutsy."
Comment 1 Carlos Garnacho 2007-11-04 23:15:34 UTC
I find the whole description quite confusing... system-tools-backends just lists the available shells, if screen is not installed, it can't be listed, and it has been doing that since a long time ago... regarding gnome-terminal/screen interaction, evidently g-s-t doesn't have anything to do there.
Comment 2 Pedro Villavicencio 2008-06-23 16:27:37 UTC
right, the reporter closed the downstream bug:

"On a fresh install of Hardy Heron I did not see screen listed as an available shell anymore." closing this report as per that comment, thanks Carlos.
