GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 486101
connect to server / browse network does something unexpected
Last modified: 2008-11-20 14:49:19 UTC
This report has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/152006 "From testing of gutsy amd64 dvd 20071010.2: I wanted to access an anonymous ftp area on my house network. So I selected Places / Connect to server. In the resulting window I selected Service type: Public FTP. Then I thought "oh, a browse button, let me see what it does". What it does is bring up a copy of Places / Network. I don't think this is correct. It should bring up a subdirectory of Places / Network which corresponds to the root of the selected service type. If the service type is not browseable then the "Browse" button should be disabled." Thanks,
the new version has no such option, closing the bug
