Description Gabriel de Perthuis 2007-09-18 19:17:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Sound-juicer doesn't send a proxy username and password; apparently it was relying on mb_SetProxyCreds, which never found its way into a libmusicbrainz-2.1.x release (there is also a libmusicbrainz-3.0 series).

Steps to reproduce:
Perform a CD lookup, and use something like tcpdump or tshark; you will see a "proxy authentication required" http reply.

Actual results:
Sound-juicer loads the cd, but has no metadata.

Expected results:
Have some metadata.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

As you said, this is a musicbrainz problem. If you build musicbrainz from svn it works fine.

Yes, this is stupid. They need to make a new release of libmusicbrainz2.
