Description Josh Barrow [No longer recieving mail] 2001-09-10 01:31:19 UTC
1) Start Nautilus
2) Click on the "Find" button in the toolbar
3) Click on the second from the left drop down menu

The phrases "matches glob" and "matches regexp" are very unixy terms. I have no
how to form or what to do with a glob or a regexp. My mother, when trying to
use the find functionality certainly didn't.

These are confusing terms to a person who hasn't used Unix/Linux for years.

cc'ing Arlo amd Vera.

Josh

------- Additional Comments From rebecka@eazel.com 2001-08-18 19:01:53 ----

I think Darin is wrong here about searching for files by regexps
It seems like searching for file names by pattern should only allow
the glob patterns, because that's what people expect.
We shouldn't call them globs, just "pattern" or something like this.
