Description Pedro Villavicencio 2007-09-06 15:08:14 UTC
This bug has been filled here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tracker/+bug/137741

"Binary package hint: tracker

in tracker (indexing preferences) it is not possible to add mailboxes.
it allows only evolution mail nothing else.

i use balsa, which has the same mbox format, but i cannot add the path to these mboxes!

thank you - it is very fast!"
Comment 1 Ivan Frade 2008-12-30 10:49:49 UTC
Balsa is not supported at the moment. There is two possibilities:

1) Write a balsa module, similar to the current evolution module. Ask balsa developers for help, and feel free to ask in #tracker for the tracker-related issues

2) Wait for our new Email interaction model. We are working on it for evolution. Take a look into http://live.gnome.org/Evolution/Metadata You would need to write the same for balsa.

Thanks for the interest!

Changing component, since we have duplication of components here.
Comment 3 Martyn Russell 2009-10-09 10:38:47 UTC
Hi Pedro, can you re-test this with 0.7.2 that will be released today to see if this is working for you now? (with Evolution I presume)

This bug is about Tracker not indexing non-Evolution mailboxes. Comment #3 seems to ask for testing with Evolution, which doesn't really make sense.

For what it's worth, Tracker 0.7.19 still doesn't seem to index non-Evolution mailboxes.
Comment 6 Martyn Russell 2010-05-17 13:34:07 UTC
Moving "Indexer" component bugs to "General" since "Indexer" refers to the old 0.6 architecture
