I will create this meta-bug to have all bugs that affect a German business user conveniently accessible from a single location.

The US-centric business functions as implemented by gnucash are still a bit mysterious to me.  I think I have found a good intro which probably still has some good info despite its age: http://www.aerospacesoftware.com/GnuCash.tgz
