Description Jakub 'Livio' Rusinek 2007-09-03 14:18:28 UTC
I'm thinkin about SRS WOW effects. They're enhancing few players, probably because of stupid patents.

Those effects are making sound great. I heard you're implementing equalizer, appreciate that, but it would be nice to see SRS WOW in OpenSource software (maybe something better than SRS WOW?).

Could you provide some description of what these effects are, links to algorithms etc.? It sounds like something that would need to be implemented in GStreamer first.

Did you used Windows Media Player?
SRS WOW provides echo-alike 3D sound, TruBass provides... You know - bass :] .

About SRS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Retrieval_System
If it cannot be implemented (patents) even as unofficial plugin, officialy Rhythmbox could provide basic 3D/echo effects.
