Description pavel 2001-09-10 01:00:46 UTC
For specific formats like gzip, we should allow giving specific suffixes a
higher priority and have them help pick the right type. Currently we hardcode a
handful of formats that we know use gzip to make them work for 1.0

Taking bugs previously assigned to Pavel, assigning them to myself. Will parse
them out at my leisure , but many are GnomeVFS bugs we should look at for 2.0

It would be great to improve this.
Comment 2 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-12-10 18:28:17 UTC
priorities are handled by the freedesktop spec/impl
Comment 3 Marco Pesenti Gritti 2004-12-10 18:42:26 UTC
I stand corrected...
Comment 4 Christian Neumair 2006-01-06 17:29:24 UTC
Marco is right. MIME types are now handled by shared-mime-info.
