GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 468631
onion skin doesn't work with gimp-2.3.x
Last modified: 2008-11-16 18:04:22 UTC
gimp-Gap-2.2.2 oninonskin doesn't work with gimp-2.3.x. The onion skin layer is well displayed in layer dialog, but not at all on the canvas.
I am unable to replicate this bug. Could you post the parameters you are entering in the Onionskin Configuration dialog window?
Created attachment 94372 [details] onionskin configuration This is what produce the bug with gimp-2.3.19 & giap-2.2 (layer window thumbnails well updated by onionskin, but not canvas).
It appears that an extra right-parenthesis has appeared between the defining function and the registration function in 'gap/sel-to-anim-img.scm' (line 117). FYI: there was a recent change to that file because it was using an undefined variable. This introduction of the extra parenthesis resulted from the patch info I provided on the gimp-dev ML ( http://www.mail-archive.com/gimp-developer%40lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/msg13802.html).
Please attach a patch that fixes the script.
I think that my comment #3 was completely off-base and should be ignored. My apologies.
Does this problem still exist with gap 2.2.2 and gimp 2.4.0-rc3 ? I am willing to do another bug-fix release of gap 2.2 if it turns out to be necessary. This bug reports needs a clarification though.
