This would essentially require reimplementing the Rhythmbox's automatic playlist parsing inside serpentine as far as I can tell. Unless we do some modification to RB to allow some sort of API to access the automatic playlists, it would be difficult. Honestly, I'm not that familiar with either application, so I could be way off-base. I'm uploading a patch that simply tells that it is not implemented yet instead of just doing nothing.
Comment 2 Sam Morris 2007-12-16 01:05:55 UTC
How about simply not listing the automatic playlists in the 'open rhythmbox playlist' list?

This seems like a sensible thing to do until Rhythmbox presents an API to allow external programs to read its automatic playlists.

Yeah, I changed my mind to do that. Patch is coming as soon as I learn Python... It's not that complex.

Serpentine maintainer(s) have not worked on Serpentine for some years now. This project is not under active development anymore. It is currently unlikely that there will be any further active development.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone
takes the responsibility for active development again.
