know of any library/player on linux that can do this?
Comment 2 Teppo Turtiainen 2007-08-16 16:16:16 UTC
I googled for it quickly when I came across an E-AC-3 file and apparently no library/player on Linux can.

The most likely place a codec will appear is ffmpeg, in which case it would be added to the gst-ffmpeg plugin whenever someone updated the plugin. In any case, we don't need a bug to track something completely outside our control. (We don't usually keep enhancement bugs for which there is no likely resolution by someone who is an active gstreamer developer.)
