What were you doing when the application crashed? just writing to my boss that Telepathy and Empathy are pretty cool ;-). Oh well. no, really, I was not doing anything special.
Could you please provide empathy debug output[1] if you can reproduce, otherwise we can close this bug since it's an old version of empathy. [1] Instructions are in the debugging section on http://live.gnome.org/Empathy
Too long time ago, probably don't have those logs anymore.
