Description Sebastian Dröge (slomo) 2007-08-10 11:00:09 UTC
Hi,

When importing a music source from a local folder, it is possible to
import the same file twice if they *appear* to have different paths; say
if the file is music/foo.ogg, and the music directory is symlinked to
My_Music, banshee will not notice that My_Music/foo.ogg is the same file
as music/foo.ogg if you import both into your library.

Bye

Please specify the latest version of banshee you have been able to test this against or let us know that this is no longer a problem. Thank you for helping us keep track of your bug.

0.13.0 and .1, it's still a problem.
Comment 3 Andrew Conkling 2008-02-08 04:44:04 UTC
I'd think if the files were symlinked, this would be expected behavior. How could Banshee detect that these are ultimately the same file?
