Description Alexandre Mazari 2007-08-08 08:05:40 UTC
Catchline makes clear the intent of the website, the "What is it?" question.

This catchline has been a long term pain for the marketing team. I will raise the question again to see if we get to an agreement this time. Thanks for the reminder. :)
Comment 2 Murray Cumming 2007-08-28 16:25:33 UTC
Are we talking about a slogan? Or just something for people who don't know what "GNOME" is? Isn't About GNOME enough?
Comment 3 Quim Gil 2007-09-02 14:06:43 UTC
See the "Catchy slogan" section at http://live.gnome.org/GnomeMarketing/CoreMessage

Once more there was no sentence that would create the level of unanimity and confidence to implement an official GNOME logo. If someone wants to push this, great. I have tried twice. :)

In the meantime www.gnome.org can live perfectly without a catchy slogan. Changing severity to 'enhancement'.

Closing this as obsolete. We'll be working on the new website now.
