Description Quim Gil 2007-08-04 20:16:22 UTC
Eugenia at gnomefiles.org followed all our requirements and set this feed of GTK+ apps using 100% free software: http://www.gnomefiles.org/files/gnomefiles2.xml and http://gnomefiles.org/files/gnomefiles2.txt

This was planned to appear in the GNOME Products section but since it has been dropped from the initial release we might want to put these feeds (quite easy to setup I guess) in the Get Started page.

I even think Ramon did something. Assigninf initially this bug to him but feel free sending back to me if you pointing to the feed present elsewhere or to instructions for editors to put a feed in page.

Major since it was agreed and it's quite ready (and needed).

Ramon, can you tell what the state here is? Was there something implemented?

To do some brainstorming:
We can use collective.portlet.feedmixer. If it is needed visually, we can add another PortletManager to the template inside #portalContent, floated on the right or something like that. But it could also go into the right column.

Dropping this idea. We'll discuss the apps area in the near future.
