Description Aike Reyer 2007-07-28 17:15:18 UTC
As noted in a mail to games-list[1] I created a deck of anglo-american playing cards.
I will attach the newest version to this bug report.

Aike

Comment 2 Andreas Røsdal 2007-07-28 17:38:23 UTC
Thanks for the cards, we'll have them included in gnome-games-extra-data soon.
(Unless someone has some more suggestions for improvement...)
Comment 3 Christian Persch 2007-07-28 21:26:45 UTC
The fronts are very nice, but I think the red back pattern still clashes too much with the green baize background...

Comment 6 Andreas Røsdal 2007-08-09 18:57:08 UTC
Thanks for the cards, Aike. They have been committed to gnome-games-extra-data now, and will be included in the next release. Further contributions to gnome-games would be greatly appreciated!
Comment 7 Christian Persch 2009-06-26 17:07:00 UTC
I was researching our artwork's licensing, and have a question:

Aike: can you please state explicitly here on the bug which licence this work is licensed under?
Comment 8 Aike Reyer 2009-06-27 15:01:53 UTC
My intention was to put the deck under the same license as Gnome Games/Gnome Games Extra Data, which is the GNU GPL (without any version info in the READMEs but most code is version 2 or later).

The copyright notice of the package is applicable.

From gnome-games-extra-data:
"Copying of this package is covered under under the GPL, see the file
COPYING for details."

If you want to give the user more freedom please use the following copyright notice (e.g. in README.anglo) and add the text of the GNU FDL:

 anglo.svg and anglo_bitmap.svg are

This bug is being reassigned to the "general" component so we can close the aisleriot bugzilla component. Apologies for the mass email!
