Description Michal 'vorner' Vaner 2007-07-19 10:44:52 UTC
Hello,
I have my own keyboard layout and XIM (as well as all other input methods) eats characters typed as Caps Lock + key (I write mostly greek letter by this).

I was redirected here from https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185647.

I tracked down the change that started this in SVN, but don't know how to fix that properly (since the revision was a bugfix, so removing it does not make much sense).

Thank you

If you know which change started this, ti would be a good idea to put this
information here, don't you think ?

Actually, I thought putting a link to the other bugzilla where I wrote it was enough and I did not want to spam too much, if anyone can follow the link…

But it is this exact change: http://svn.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtk+?view=revision&revision=17446. I hope this one is specific enough.

Thank you

Hello

This bug is still alive in version gtk+-2.12.9. Is there a chance it will be fixed somewhen?

Thank you

Is this still an issue in gtk 3.2.x or 2.24.8?
Comment 5 Michal 'vorner' Vaner 2012-01-07 11:33:58 UTC
Hello

Sorry, I don't know and I can't test, the layout definition got lost during the time. I no longer use caps lock as a modifier, I type Greek letters with right control and that one works.

We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are closing bugs that haven't seen activity in more than 5 years. If this issue is still imporant to you and
still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue
for it.
