Description Bastien Nocera 2007-07-18 23:35:54 UTC
Streams (proper ones, not adverts, etc.) should get added to the recent files, so that they can be accessed from the Movie player at a later time.
Comment 1 Philip Withnall 2007-07-19 13:22:40 UTC
They are --- under the "TotemStreams" group. Rather than adding another check for this group in the recent items menu code, we should probably add the "Totem" group to streams in totem_action_add_recent too.
Comment 2 Philip Withnall 2007-07-19 13:23:57 UTC
Marking as gnome-love.
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2007-07-20 00:29:37 UTC
I meant the streams that show up directly in the browser viewer program. Most of them open fd://0, so we'd need to pass that data to the backend from the browser plugins bits, and save a nice "display" name as well (title page, or something like that...).
Comment 4 Sunil Mohan Adapa 2007-07-20 19:54:51 UTC
If such a display name is obtained it can also be used as title in plugin fullscreen instead of showing the URL.

Good idea Sunil. Could you please file another bug and make it dependent on this one please?

I did (bug #458786), but it become a bug in non-existent code! :) because we don't have plugin fullscreen yet (bug #354181). I could use some review comments there.

The browser plugin has been removed from Totem. See this post for more details:
