GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 45595
Tell a user if indexed searches are available as soon as they call up the "find" ui
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
This is an improvement over the current way, that forces users to enter their search before being confronted with this information. Correctly implementing this feature should correctly deal with the case where an index is not available when the search ui is entered, and becomes available before the search is performed and vice versa. It would also be good to not present the user with the same indexed search unavailability both at the time they call up the "find" ui and the time they perform a search. This bug is a usability improvement, and not something that seems necessary for 1.0. ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2001-01-12 15:01:02 ---- Let's try to do this for 1.0.1. ------- Additional Comments From rebecka@eazel.com 2001-03-06 11:40:37 ---- I'll need ui help with this to figure out how we want to notify users that this is the case. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:51 -------
