Description Brett Neely 2001-09-10 00:53:39 UTC
This is a low-priority feature request: When the mouse hovers over a link in the
history sidebar panel, it would be nice/handy to see the complete URI in the
status bar. For example, if I browse /usr/bin and /home/brett/bin, there are
two links named "bin" in the history with no way to tell which is which. (OK,
that comment isn't valid, because if there's a namespace clash, the link names
will become the full URI.) When browsing bookmarks in Netscape, I often refer
to the URL in the status bar for assurance that it's what I want.

I like this idea, and it's easy to implement.

Duane is now the proud new QA owner of 'Sidebar', and 'Sidebar Panel: (Other)'.

Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Comment 2 Marc O'Morain 2005-03-12 12:33:02 UTC
Does this feature break the spatial model?
Comment 3 Christian Neumair 2005-05-21 15:27:47 UTC
The history panel doesn't even exist in spatial mode :).

No it isn't. We have to push the statusbar and have access to the window's help
message CID, which isn't possible, since there is only NautilusWindowInfo.
Except if we mess around with gtk_widget_get_toplevel, of course.
Comment 5 Cosimo Cecchi 2010-12-04 12:20:48 UTC
Obsolete now that the history sidebar has gone. Closing.
