The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-games/+bug/117824

"Binary package hint: gnome-games

On levels: 9, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 26 the worm re-spawns going a different direction then when initially coming into the level.

On level 16 you re-spawn with almost 0 chance of not hitting a wall.
On level 25 I believe the worms re-spawns into a wall so quickly that the game ends if you die once.
...
By re-spawn do you mean moving off the edge of the board brings you back to the opposite side of the board?
...
By re-spawn I mean, that when your worm dies, on those levels it brings you
back to the starting location but heading in a direction such that the worm
almost immediately hits a wall and dies again. On level 16 this issue is
faster then on others. If you kill your worm on purpose, watch it re-spawn
without holding a direction. On my machine at least where my worm is player
one (red worm, default), it immediately starts heading in a down direction,
making contact with the wall in under a second, ending up in a death -
respawn loop.

Remember level starting direction

Created a patch to remember the level start direction instead of always restarting going down.
