Description Kevin Dupuy 2007-07-03 16:00:38 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Banshee's Audioscrobbler plugin sends played podcasts to your Last.fm page, instead of just music that you play.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Sign up for a Last.fm account and tell Banshee to send your played music there (in Edit > Plugins > Audioscrobbler
2. Subscribe or play an existing podcast from the podcast tab.
3. Visit your Last.fm profile (Tools > Audioscrobbler > Visit user profile page

Actual results:
Podcasts, in addition to music, is sent to Last.fm. This makes Last.fm less useful, as podcasts are now amoung the most played music you listen to, which is not true with other profiles.

Expected results:
FOr music only to be sent to be scrobbled, not podcast episodes.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

IMO this should be marked as "enhancement".
Comment 3 Josiah Ritchie - flickerfly 2007-08-24 02:22:45 UTC
I kinda like my podcasts being sent to last.fm. Perhaps this could be optional?
Comment 4 Andrew Conkling 2008-02-06 19:04:42 UTC
Maybe in SVN, we could set the Audioscrobbler plugin to only submit tracks played from a certain source?
Comment 5 Gabriel Burt 2008-04-07 05:48:21 UTC
In trunk we only submit tracks that say flagged with the Music attribute. Should fix this issue.
