by : https://bugs.launchpad.net/~martijn

I have a Trust bluetooth mouse, and in Windows I can see the battery level (without special drivers).

I've seen "mouse battery" warnings for other kinds of mice, would it be possible to add these for bluetooth mice as well?
Comment 1 Richard Hughes 2007-06-26 09:00:09 UTC
gnome-power-manager doesn't actually read battery state from wireless mice, HAL does that. g-p-m just reads a battery device of type mouse. You need to get the reporter to find a linux utility to read the battery state, which we can add to hal as a custom addon. I'll close this as not-gnome, but if you can get the reporter to send email to the hal mailing list with details of a userspace prober.

Thanks.

I don't know of a userspace prober.. the bluez people might know how to do it though.. any idea where I can find their bug tracker?
Comment 3 Richard Hughes 2007-06-26 09:26:15 UTC
Martijn, it's probably best to email the bluez developer mailing list.
