Support for Unicode (CT 2.0rc8) and new SQLObject
Last modified: 2008-05-02 11:44:34 UTC
Please describe the problem: DL doesn't support Unicode out of the box due to limitations of Cheetah Templates. Attaching a patch to make DL work properly with Cheetah Templates 2.0rc8, which adds UTF-8 support. Also, two corrections for SQLObject calls. Steps to reproduce: Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information: Work done in the context of Fedora's L10N Google Summer of code. I'd like to fix this, but I wonder what exactly CheetahTemplates release we need to require then. Will this work only with 2.0rc8 and later?
From the CHANGES file (http://www.cheetahtemplate.org/docs/CHANGES), it seems that support for #unicode directive was added in 2.0rc8.
since November 16th, 2007 Cheetah released version 2.0.1 don't know which version uses DL server if Dimitris can't update the patch I can try
DL server runs on Ubuntu stable aka Dapper. I suppose it will be updated to next Ubuntu LTS whith Ubuntu Hardy's release. Hardy has 2.0.1. Let's wait two more months...
Now that l10n.gnome.org has been updated to 8.04 LTS, this is fixed (rev 864).
