Comment 1 Reinout van Schouwen 2007-06-04 07:01:30 UTC
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

I can't reproduce the bug here, given the steps in the description.

However, given the apport retrace on the Launchpad bug (http://launchpadlibrarian.net/6936447/%3Cfdopen%3E), it's definitely a Mozilla problem which should be reported to bugzilla.mozilla.org if it isn't already filed yet. Thanks!
Comment 2 Yann 2007-06-04 07:07:31 UTC
OK, I'll try to investigate more, but the crash does not happen in Mozilla Firefox.

And the apport retrace was not made by me, but automaticaly (Ubuntu magic ;)
The stacktrace is from me.
Comment 3 John Vivirito 2007-06-05 09:55:08 UTC
hi I was able to reproduce this bug only in epiphany-browser in Ubuntu. What is causing this crash to happen? You state Gecho causes it but what in the Gecho engine is causing it? Is there a work around for this issue? This could very well be a Mozilla issue but i would feel more comfortable calling it Mozilla bug if i was able to reproduce this on firefox or galeon or seamonkey/iceape.
Comment 4 Christian Persch 2007-06-05 10:45:41 UTC
The stack trace in the launchpad bug is clear: it's crashing in the gecko layout code.
Comment 5 Alexander Sack 2007-06-05 16:13:17 UTC
yeah ... have you never seen a crash in gecko code because epiphany did wrong?
