GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 44216
No icon / emblem for symlinked directories in tree view.
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
There are no emblems or icons to indicate a file or directory is a symlink. This can be problematic because you can accidentally move a file around when you should have been moving a link and visa versa. ------- Additional Comments From mjs@noisehavoc.org 2000-11-03 20:27:58 ---- I have no clue what the right UI, if any, is for indicating something in the tree view is a symlink. Design help please! ------- Additional Comments From mjs@noisehavoc.org 2000-11-16 20:49:08 ---- Suggest deferring this new feature request ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:45 -------
Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Still applies to gnome 2, adding GNOME2 keyword.
Shouldn't this bug be even more general, since there are not emblems at all displayed in the tree view.
There is a bug for emblems in tree view already. Don't know if this is really a dup of that or not, though.
Have a look at my patch in http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2003-December/msg00290.html
The patch has been committed, can someone please mark this bug as resolved/fixed.
Thanks Jürg (and whoever else).
