Description Philip Paquette 2007-05-24 12:55:37 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When creating a directory, if we enter a name then erase it, then click close, the application says "the name of the launcher is not set"

Steps to reproduce:
(Through alacarte)
1. Open alacarte
2. Click New Menu, the Directory Properties dialog opens
3. Enter any directory name, then erase it and then click Close

Actual results:
An error message "the name of the launcher is not set" popups, but there isn't any launcher to set.

Expected results:
If we don't set any names when the dialog opens, closing doesn't do anything, so I would expect that entering a name and removing it wouldn't do anything either.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

confirmed, this even happens if you enter the text and then click on "Revert" and then on the Close button. reassigning to alacarte. thanks for your report.

Reassigning back to gnome-panel, alacarte just calls gnome-desktop-item-edit.

The real issue here is bug 437940.
