Description Paul Smith 2007-05-07 15:17:02 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If I re-open a meeting that I've created, then click the Attendees button, all my previous attendees are not present any longer. If I save this then they all disappear.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select a time on the calendar
2. Right-click and select New Meeting
3. Click the Attendees button on the left side of the window
4. The selection dialog comes up with "Address Book" set to "Contacts". I don't want that, so I change it to "Global Address List"
5. Select one or more attendees by typing their name in the Search box, then "Add"ing them to the Required Participants entry.
6. Click "Close".
7. Click "Save". It will ask if you want to notify the participants; I said yes but I don't think this matters.
8. Go to your calendar view, right-click on your meeting and click "Open". You'll see your attendees, as you'd expect.
9. Click the "Attendees" button again, so you can add new attendees.
10. The Attendees dialog comes up and again the default Address Book is "Contacts", not "Global Address List". Further, there are no entries in any of the participants boxes.
11. Select "Global Address List". The participants boxes are still empty.
12. Add new participants, then save. The new participants you added will be visible in the Attendees list, but the original ones will be gone.
13. If your original attendees accept the meeting and you get back a message from them, Evo will ask if you want to update your meeting. If you say yes, Evo will say that these attendees are not in the meeting list (even though they were) and ask if you want to add them. If you say yes, they still do not appear in the attendees list for the meeting.

Actual results:
As above.

Expected results:
When I select the Attendees button I expect the original attendees to still be present in the "Attendees" dialog, so that I can add new ones (or remove existing ones).

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

I'm still seeing this every time with Evo 2.12 (Gnome 2.20) as retrieved from SVN on 17 Sep 2007.

This is a major problem; can someone please find some time to look into it, or at least try to reproduce it?

Easily reproduceable for me with evo 2.12.0 with Ubuntu 7.10.
1. Open any meeting (not just the ones I've created)
2. See the attendees are listed
3. Click attendees button
3. See an empty attendees dialog
4. Close dialog
5. The list of attendees for the meeting is emptied.

Ah, this is fixed recently IIRC. Just see if it is same as bug #380644
Comment 4 Paul Smith 2007-12-04 07:17:42 UTC
You're right, this does seem to be a duplicate. After rebuilding a newer version this bug does appear to be fixed for me as well. Although there's another slightly annoying one that is still there; I'll file a different bug for that.
