GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 434944
Refused transactions from import appear in register
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:35:10 UTC
Please describe the problem: If a transaction in generic import is refused ("Do not import"), it still appears in the register window. It is considered unbalanced. If you press 'x' button, GnuCash will offer to balance it. The transaction does not affect the register's running balance. It can be deleted. It goes away on GnuCash restart. Steps to reproduce: 1. Try importing an QFX/OFX file for currently open register 2. Refuse one or more transactions Actual results: Refused transactions appear in register. Expected results: Refused transactions should not appear in register. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: 341076 was mentioned in this context (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341076). This is not the same issue.

When I do this with a current SVN build on Gtk+2.20, the register shows all of the downloaded transactions (with the little "unbalanced" checkmarks in the amount fields) while the dialog box is open. When I dismiss the box, the "refused" transactions are deleted; those that don't have a duplicate transaction (the normal reason that transactions are automatically refused) leave an empty transaction behind. This transaction is removed from the register as soon as one does anything to force a redraw. I consider that to be a little odd but still satisfactory.
