Description brett 2007-04-27 18:09:01 UTC
Back in the evo 2.4 days, one could quickly dismiss/ack calendar
reminders by middle-clicking on the flashing reminder icon in the
systray in gnome. That ability appears to be gone since 2.6, and the
only way I can now find to dismiss a reminder is to click on the
flashing icon, which brings up another dialog, then find and click the
"Close" button in that dialog.

I find that extra "move-the-mouse-and-click-twice" motion to be rather
annoying, and would like to request that the middle-click shortcut be re-instated (or something equivalent).

Distribution: Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty)

BTW, Srini asked me on the evolution M/L to submit this and assign it to him. Of course, I don't have privileges to assign the bug, so am just putting this note in ;o)

I will fix this in 2.11.x or so.

Bett, I noticed that in source that it is not middle click but right click. It even works today, if you build Evolution against little older Gtk and the recent update to GtkStatusIcon in Evolution has broken that. Fixed in SVN. Right click would dismiss the flashing icon.

Ahh, I guess my memory is a bit faulty :o). Anyway, thanks Srini!
