Steps to reproduce:
1. On Windows, launch gnucash and choose an existing data file.
2. Choose Edit->Preferences and go to Reports section
3. Click on the Currency combo box in "Default Report Currency".
4. Application crashes.

gnucash cannot be subsequently launched at all until all the "cache" files (.gnucash, .gconfd, etc.) are deleted.

Fix (r16001) will appear in GnuCash 2.1.1.
