Please describe the problem:
Mouse pointer keeps busy while Sabayon is ready to work. While cursor is busy, user can interact with the application but it's a bit annoying.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on System->Admin->User Profile Editor
2. Enter password
3. See the problem


Actual results:
Mouse pointer keeps busy!

Expected results:


Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
Setting StartupNotify=false in desktop file solves the problem.

It only happns when gksu password is cached.

sadly this is not a sabayon bug, it happens with anything using gksu and startup-notification . I don't think there is anything we can do about it until we can rely on consolehelper and perhaps policykit in the future

I'm not sure who should own this bug, i'm having trouble finding out if one exists, or where to file it to

you're going to have to refile this with your distro, as this is currently patched into sabayon by the distro maintainer
